About

The Walden Cross Country Fitness Club (WCCFC) was established in 1978 and has become one of Ontario’s top cross country ski trail systems.

The club maintains three trail systems within Greater Sudbury. Our main system and is located at the Naughton Trail Centre, but be sure to visit the Beaver Lake Trails in Worthington and the Voyageur Trails in Azilda.

NAUGHTON TRAIL CENTRE: The Club’s primary location offers over 23 km of skate and classic trails that range from novice to expert. Naughton offers snowshoe trails, night skiing, equipment rentals, ski lessons, youth programs, elite racing programs and access to a modern, fully accessible, family friendly chalet with free wifi. When there is no snow, it’s great for walking, running and hiking. There are also 12km of single track mountain bike trails onsite, operated by our Naughton Trail Centre Partner Club, the Walden Mountain Bike Club. A WMBC Membership is required if you wish to ride these trails, so be sure to visit their website for all the information. They’re pretty awesome too.

BEAVER LAKE TRAILS: Ski trails are track set for classic skiing only and vary in difficulty from moderate to difficult. Loops range from from 1.5 km to 5.5 km in length.

VOYAGEUR TRAILS: Located in Azilda, the Voyageur Trails feature 3 classic ski loops of 1km, 5km and 8km in length.

Donations to Walden Nordic Programs

Donate today to help support our Walden Nordic programs. We are now set up to issue a Charitable Donation Tax Receipt for donations over $30. The Walden Nordic Program needs to raise funds to help cover annual operating costs. This fund raising helps keep program fees low to encourage participation in a great program.

The Donation Form can be found here. Use your credit card or make out your cheque to Cross Country Canada. Do not include any reference to WCCFC or Walden Nordic on the cheque. Fill out the form and drop it off with the cheque to the Chalet or mail both to:

Pat Montpetit, Treasurer
Walden Cross Country Fitness Club
Box 506, Naughton, ON P0M 2M0

Your Tax Receipt will be mailed to you by Cross Country Canada. Please contact Pat Montpetit for more information on how you can donate.
